The 5 Pillars of Support

The Breidegam Family Foundation supports a wide variety of causes as defined by our 5 Pillars. Through these pillars we advance and memorialize the areas that DeLight and Helen had passion for throughout their lives.

Quality of Life

We define Quality of Life as the degree to which an individual is healthy, comfortable, and able to participate in or enjoy life events. We support programs that promote or enhance mental health, physical health, healthy living, and equality in our community.

Education

We support programs which encourage a lifetime of learning and that education can create meaningful change. we also recognize that education comes in many forms beyond traditional academics and support organizations and programs that help enhance or round out a persons knowledge at any stage of life.

History

The Breidegam Family has ties to Berks County dating back to the Early 1700’s, and recognizes the importance of preserving the past for the future. We recognize the important work historians do to capture our history and support organizations dedicated to research and preservation of historical sites, objects, and literature.

Community

We believe for a community to flourish it needs sustainable infrastructure, services for those in need, and activities that enrich the lives of those who live there. we support organizations who support, save, or enhance lives and strengthen our community as a whole.

Environment

We believe we are stewards of our environment and have a duty to preserve nature for future generations to enjoy and thrive in. We view preservation of farmland, forests, parks, and clean water along with sustainable wildlife management and animal care and rescue as crucial to a healthy community.
